give a student a chance

GIVE A STUDENT A CHANCE is a back-to-school community event, funded by the sale of Christmas trees. Each year, 100% of the money raised at the BUY A TREE. CHANGE A LIFE. Powell tree lot goes to help children globally and locally. This is the way we give back to our local community. In 2024, we served 100 kids and their families.  We'd love for you to join us next year. Check back in the spring of 2025 for more information about how to register for the event.

This event is open to all school-aged students in our community. All students will get to select new jeans and tennis shoes, have the option to get a haircut from a local salon, select a new backpack with grade-specific school supplies, and join us for a pizza lunch.

This is FREE to the student. All you have to do is register and show up. We’ll take care of the rest. The event will be held in Powell next summer, before the start of the 2025 school year. You will get a specific time slot to join us after you register.
